my talk button is grayed in

i am having problems with my talk button i have tryed everything possable and it still won't work some times its comes on but most of the time it doesn't work i look at active speakers when i'm with some one and it say no active speaker and when they are talking they say they can see the green lite working above there heads and i can 't see it i'm am on my last nerve trying to figure this out please help

Try disabling and then re-enabling voice in Preferences.

I have not had voice for two weeks now and my talk button was grayed as well. I tried everything everyone told me on sl, blogs, and friends. Finally I simplywent to my preferences and reset my settings to default and my voice came back on... So try that. Preferences and then put all the setting back to default.

There is a button in preferences that says reset all settings.
