How do you hide your viewer tag on Firestorm?

1. There is no such option in Firestorm.

2. That other people's tag is hidden is because the server version LL rolled out yesterday filters out viewer tag data so you cannot see other's tags anymore. Same will happen with your tag to others.

You may have to rebake your appearance to see the change (Ctrl-Alt-R). Until later today, Wednesday 2/29, it depends on which region you are in. The change blocking viewer ID tags was rolled out on the main channel of the grid. That is about 80% of the grid.

The release channels making up about 20% of the main grid will be updated today. By this afternoon it won't matter where you are on the main grid. A rebake should clear your viewer's ID tag.

There will be no more viewer ID tags in SL. Some people were harassing new users for not using a third party viewer. This policy change should stop most of that harassment.
