Lestat Ashbourne
Within a few mins, I crash after I've logged in. SL support suggested a clean sweep - that didn't help.I've contacted Dell support to see if they can help me with updating my graphics card drivers - waiting on their reply. I've updated Second Life and the viewer to the latest version also.A friend on Facebook suggested a different viewer - maybe Phoenix viewer...Any suggestions please - it's ruining my enjoyment. Marigold Devin
Welcome to Second Life Forums, Lestat If you know the type of graphics card you've got installed, you can update the drivers very easily without Dell's help. Just go to the website of the graphics card manufacturer, and there will be an option in the menus there for checking for updates to your graphics card. Also, check your connection. Be wired rather than wireless, and reset your modem.
Thinkerer Melville
Crashing a lot is more likely to be a connection problem than a computer problem. Here is a n article about crashing problems: Login fails? Lots of logouts? Summary http://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/2011/12/kit-login-fails-lots-of-logouts-summary.html TKR
Shockwave Yareach
As an extra help, if you are into programming PICs and have a PicKit2 or Pickit3 plugged into USB, that causes the viewer to crash at the Virtual File System for some reason. Unplug it from USB before running and you'll be fine.
