cant download SL software

im new to second life and whn i go to the website i download the software. it loads up and installs into mii computer then when it pops up i just see a black and gray screen with second life at the top. i dnt knw wats wrong and dnt knw wat to do..pleaseee hellpp

Hello Monique and welcome to SL  and SL Forums. Possibly it is a graphics issue. Download the last drivers for your graphics card (links below):

• Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
• Amd: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
• Intel: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

If the problem remains, download a previous edition of Viewer 3. Try versions 3.0.0 or 3.0.3 because if i am right i saw this problem for first time when version 3.1.0 released. You can download them here.

If still you can't correct the issue, download a Third-Party Viewer. Many residents use Phoenix or Firestorm
