Parcel Media Stream Machinima

Hi there --

 

Does someone have a link to an explanation of getting machinima to stream rather than do the webpage on the prim thing? I am having issues -- possibly because the file it too big?  Does it work?  Is some conversion required? Etc. Etc.

The machinima has to be on a server that hosts video and has the software needed to stream it.  You can do this on a service such as YouTube.  You can also have it on your own private server or computer , but would need the software to stream it like SAM.  Here is a link that explains this.

To use parcel streaming the video needs to be in a Quicktime format. The data rate needs to be at a reasonable level or the video won't play smoothly. I use Blip.tv to host QT-type files and stream the original upload.

Shared Media is *much* easier and doesn't require any special format. For youtube use http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v= and the the rest of the video's url that would come after the '=' to get a pop-out version.
