Texturing a mesh in Blender 2.6?

Hey all,

I got the mesh to look the way I wanted... but everytime I export it, and put it in world, the textures are not on it.  Is there a texturing tutorial for mesh somewhere that could help me?   I have unwrapped the UV.... and applied the image there, but, it still won't include the texture.  Any help or suggestions would be welcome.

Not all dae exporters include the textures. as long as you set up the UV maps, you can just upload the textures seperately.

I think some Blender version do include the textures, some don't....

Did you add a material and texture? It's a seperate process that, I think, actually associates the model with the texture. I think applying the texture in the UV/image editor window only affects what you see in the 3D viewport. Also, make sure the mapping is set to UV instead of generated.
