WHAT IS A 'LINDEN GRANT'????? AND WHY WOULD I RECEIVE ONE??????

Hi I've just checked my L@ balance through my dashboard while i am out of world and see a linden grant of L$1250 made today..

 

What would this be? and why would i receive it? i have had no email notification so far.

 

Sure it's nice to receive...but ummmmm..could it be an error?  How do i find out where it came from and why?

Seen a "Linden Grant" in your transaction history but confused what it means?

A Linden Grant is not like a grant one would receive for educational or research purposes.

The term Linden Grant refers to the bonuses and stipends which the system automatically grants a Resident for upgrading to a Premium account and storing billing information.

it think it never was gone, but with just a few % active accounts of all sign ups, chance it falls on the millions sleeping accounts is huge.
