every time i try to downlaod it it starts but right when it pops um it shows a brey and black screen and freezes it never works i want to play but it never works what do i do. i let it accept all the stuff idk whats wrong. its not the anti virus

Are you using any firewall or anti virus? Try to turn them off or allow SL as an accepted program.

Hello pumpkinrh and welcome to SL Forums. I think the problem is no downloading and installing but you can't launch the viewer, right?  If it is the first time check at first if you system meets they requirements for SL. http://secondlife.com/support/system-requirements/  Also download the last drivers for your graphics card. Give a try also to download a http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory
