Is there a way to use Pandora Radio in SL? Can a playlist from your own personal Pandora Radio be set in a radio for example? TY for any suggestions.

My knowledge of computers is limited, I would imagine that if you had your own web hosting and you uploaded those songs to a database at your web host; you could stream the music into SL.

Maybe another Resident here has a better idea of exactly how it's done.

I don't think so, and if you did it would probably be a copyright violation.

The only way to play "your" music in SL is to get a Shoutcast stream and broadcast it that way.  I recommend that you actually own the rights, preferably performance rights, to the music you play in this fashion.

Pandora radio is just a media player that plays mp3's or radio stations.  The SL viewer is the media player inside SL.  All you need is the URL of the stream you want to hear.  Granted, SL does not allow you to set up play lists like Pandora, but you can get software for your computer that will do this such as Winamp or SAM and that will stream the songs you own personally into SL by connecting it to a compatible rented stream.  Shoutcast and Icecast are the two most popular ones people use.  The cost of this depends on how many listeners your stream will accommodate.  Rented streams are available for 10 up to 250 listeners. Keep in mind that if you rent a stream for 10 listeners and have 11 people on your land, the last person turning on their media will not be able to hear your stream. So you will want to consider how many people may be present that you want to be able to listen to it.   You can rent streams inworld and pay for them in Lindens, by typing the name of your preferred service into SL search to find shops where you can rent them.

I wondered the same thing. There is a pandora radio for sale on marketplace, but it says it is for Viewer 2. I'm also a subscriber to Pandora so not sure if it lets me access my account.
