Greetings people,

I was not certain were was the right location for this thread but since it would be something that would gave me a SL job and maybe get me a small assistant if I need one and all I thought I would post it here. I am currently searching to see if people are in search of a psychologist on sl? If they are I might be willing to make myself a location later on that I can help patients since I am currently a psychiatrist in real life mostly work with abused victims. I am also thinking charging 400 - 500 per sesion which would be for one hour. This is also to get an assistant later on if I see it is succesfull giving her around 250 per day of salary that would be a few hours here and there just to make me a scheadule or help the people get an appointment and all that which is not going to be to hard. Anyway this way I will have one a second job with a honnest pay lol and two a way to pay rent for the location I will need to use for this and three to pay my assistant.

Well, the above replies more or less shows the general level in SL... :smileywink:

Personally i think your idea would be brilliant if you brought your practice from RL into SL, that is if you are a real professional. Seeing your English i have my doubts about that.

Certainly, the benefits are that sessions can be done more anonymous which has psychological advantages where non verbal and RL face to face contact is more out of the loop in sessions. However... i am afraid that the general level and need of people in SL are hardly up for that idea. And i have serious doubts that you are a professional.

But if you really are, then do refer to the RL website of your practice and you'll have to bring RL clients into SL and use SL as a platform, i suggest.

Not to try and poke my head in this, but I'm gonna anyway

While I share the agreement that this would be a good idea, what concerns me is possible HIPPA compliance issues. If indeed you are a licensed therapist, I would tread lightly. As you know, HIPPA isn't anything to sneeze at.

I am not an american so this law does not bother me as much.In the other sense it seems like no one wants this to take effect so I will most likely not go through with it. I am French by the way that is why my Englsih is not the best.
