my feet are stuck in the ground. I'm not wearing an alpha layer, nothing seems to be working :( help

Hello klmberley. If you use Firestorm, click the Firestorm button (show quick preferences panel) right on the down toolbar --> Height offset and fix it. If you use another viewer, post back here adding more details about your viewer and what you have tried so far. (options --> Edit).

Your feet can often be stuck in the ground -- because of the ground *wink*. Sometimes sculpted landforms let you sink in even when they are not marked phantom. I know not why, but I do know that at a friend's place I am always in the ground until I enter the house. You didn't say if they are in the ground EVERYWHERE or just some places. So check that if it applies.

 

The other typical thing can be that you are wearing a pair of shoes that attach to your legs where the designer placed them. Often that is not the correct place as some of us are tall, some short etc. SO, you may need to move your shoes up on your legs a bit to match the ground (this if the answer above didn't help).

So each time you try on a pair of new shoes, adjust  them (a pose stand is best if you are new). Then take them off and put them back on again and they will "remember" where they are suppose to be on your avatar.
