Hello canduman. You can delete them alone:

For chat logs (Windows Vista and 7),  delete this file: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife \ candyman27_resident \ chat.txt

For im logs, C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife \ candyman27_resident \ resident's_name.txt
