having trouble running sl

i have the newest version of sl on my pc and it is running  like junk 

i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and even reinstalling version 3.0 and the game keeps either saying not responding or the screen will flash or it will just lock up or take forever to do anything

my pc meets all the requirements to run/play sl

is there an older or different version that i can download and still play? if so could someone plz tell me where and exactly how to get it

i have looked through other threads but when i try to click on links people provide i can never seem to see for figure out how to get the download

Hello hunny. Maybe re-installation is not enough to fix your problem. Do a clean reinstall.

1)Uninstall the viewer using the windows control panel

2)Delete all contests at the following folders:

• C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife and
• C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife

3)Download a fresh copy from http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/

Hi LoveAngel, I have been having the same problem for about a week, can't walk and rezzes real slow. SL normally works fine but it just started doing it one day. I didn't change any settings or anything to make it happen. What do you mean by deleting all contests? Will I loose all my inventory and avatar if I do this? Thanks for your help.

SL viewers since 2.8 are notoriously known to be slow for far too many, even with the latest computer, i7, W7 and an Nvidia 580 card and so on. A clean re-installation really isn't going to address that general issue despiute all typical efforts.
