Well, your translator doesn't work because nobody's does.  Most in-world translators depended on Google's free Translation API, which Google no longer offers for free.  When they pulled the plug in December, all translators stopped.  If you are using the current V3 viewer or Firestorm, you can input an account number for Google's subscription translation service or the free Bing service, if you have one.  Otherwise, no translation.

Now, "invisible" is a different matter.  If you are not really invisible, but are a fluffy cloud, that's a baking problem.  That's a communication problem between your computer and SL's servers. Information about your appearance has to be "baked" onto your avatar on your own computer, saved there, and then uploaded to SL before it's fully visible there. If the necessary information is messed up in transmission, you may end up with a borked file on your computer, or SL's servers may end up with a borked file. Either way, your av's appearance defaults to a fluffy cloud. What works to repair the damage for one person won't necessarily work for the next person, and it may not be the same thing that works for you tomorrow. See the full list of possibilitites here >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=fs_bake_fail . Start with the simple things at the top of the list and work down until you find what works for you today.

You may find that the bake fail problem comes back repeatedly, even after you fix it with one of the suggestions on that wiki page. If so, you have a chronically weak Internet connection. There are many steps to take for repairing it. Perhaps the simplest ones -- ones that work best for most people -- are: (1) Don't Use WIRELESS. Wireless connections are inherently less stable than direct cable connections and are more vulnerable to interference. Then, (2) Reboot your router. Unplug it from the power for a few minutes to let it clear its RAM. The plug it back in and let it get a fresh hold on an IP address.

If you really are invisible, though, you may be wearing an alpha clothing layer that is covering your entire body.  Check the WORN tab in inventory to see what you're wearing.

Hello eowyn and welcome to SL Forums. You are invisible because obviously your avatar is no loaded. You can try the suggestions at the following link one by one: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=bake_fail They work for all viewers and it is very possible to work for you also.

However suggestions will not work if:

  1. You have corrupted files saved in your hard disk. If so, you will fix the issue if you delete them and download new files. To do that, delete all contests at the following folder: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife After login back in a quiet sim like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere. Stay there under the water, open your inventory type something in search there and wait fetching all your items till the last one. When fetching finishes, try to change outfit choosing choosing one with just the necessary stuff (skin, shape, hair, eyes, pants and shirt) without any attachments. Wait some seconds and rebake your textures with Ctrl+Alt+R. Repeat same process if it is necessary. It will fix your issue.
  2. You have problem with your internet connection. If so, you will fix the problem if you fix your internet connection. You can test your internet speed at http://speedtest.net/ If it is too slow, reboot your modem / router leting it closed for at least 2-3 mins and try again. If you use wireless connection, simply avoid it (it is no recommended for SL) and prefer direct cable connection instead. You can experiment also with your maximum bandwidth until to find the best setting for your system (under preferences --> setup).

About your translator we don't know which translator you use. I have in my inventory "Metanomics Translator". I check it now and it works perfectly. I can send you it in world. You can im me if you wish.
