Try a complete clean reinstall of all viewers you use. Uninstall them, then go into your computer and manually delete all folders relating to SL. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_do_I_fully_uninstall_and_reinstall_Second_Life%3F

See if that helps.

ETA: Never mind. Reading the JIRA, there doesn't seem to be a known fix, so I suggest you both vote for and watch the JIRA. It's been acknowledge as a major bug, but apparently no fix is in the works...

If they can reproduce the bug at LL's end then it'll get a fix, but this is a new one on me. I know that LL have been carrying out major works to the servers, and my befuddled little brain thinks that somewhere along the way, some of our inventories have been duplicated onto several servers as a backup while they disconnect servers, and now when people log in, as their information is gathered together, it means they get several duplicates. But it is a guess only. Good job Oskar Linden and crew never look here or they'd have a right laugh over their coffee and biscuits!!!

I'm hoping I stay lucky enough to avoid this one, myself. My inventory is bad enough...Still, I hope it gets a fix, as it seems seriously annoying.
