Landowners may ban anyone they choose for any reason at all, or for no reason.  It's exactly the same as in RL.  You can tell anyone to leave your property.

If you are curious, you might get a response if you sent a very politely worded notecard to the sim owner.  Don't expect miracles, though.  You may have to just chalk it up to experience and move on.  There are other places to enjoy in SL.

Only thing you can do is contact the person or people that banned you and try to work it out.  There is nothing LL will do and land owners have the right to ban without reason.

You say that you have tried to contact people to find out why you have been banned - that is what I would have suggested. If you have written a polite and well-worded notecard and received no answer, chalk it down to experience. There are thousands of other great places to explore.

If you don't get an answer, but wrote a polite notecard, then your only chance to get a clue of what you may did wrong is read their rules for the sim. If there is nothing usefull to find go ahead and discover new places to go.
