After you relogged did the balance show the proper amount of lindens in your account?  If so, then you fixed the problem and everything should be okay.  In the future you mouse over your linden acount balance in your viewer and you'll see something like "click to refresh"..........that should update your account balance without having to relog.

 

I have to credit Charolott Caxxton for that tip.........she enlightened my to that nifty trick a couple weeks ago (and I've been in SL for a long time, too ).
