Any last thought that I had that linden labs gave any kind of thought for their customers just went rightout the window.

It's Christmas Day and MARKETPLACE ISN;T WORKING!  WTG lindens! the one day of the year you'd think you'd make a real effort to keep your customers happy and you blew it - again! I guess we now just have to sit and wait for the lindens to be returned to us however long that takes, but it's not as simple as going to stores to get the presents because half the merchants in SL can no longer afford a store in SL.

Thank you Lindens-  for nothing. I hope you enjoy your day off. No doubt Marketplace  will be up and running AFTER the holiday when it's too late.

You'd have thought marketplace would have been sorted for christmas day when people in sl want to send gifts to their friends and loved ones... I hope its working when all you folks in the US get up to exchange gifts ...

Sometimes I wonder...

Does it ever occur to people that the issue may not actually be the site? (rarer things have happened!)

or that perhaps...

The site has a lot of people using it all at once and every.single.time that happens, things slow down a bit(no website is immune to this, period)

Yeah MP has it's issues but come on, lol. Folks need to use a wee bit of common sense. The lab may have it's faults too and I'm not usually one to stick up for them in most areas(they can stand on their own), but there really are some things they can't fully control, lol.

MP worked peachy for me today, and those buying from me as well. There have been plenty of times in the past when it hasn't worked for me. But my first reaction isn't "OMGAW LL you suck!!". Sheesh.

I opened this thread thinking it was about wishing people a happy Christmas.  Was I wrong!

Try to have a little charitable Christmas spirit.  Lindens are working Christmas day so that we can keep playing our game.  You should be grateful for that.  I surely am.

Most of us learn, sooner or later, that if it's important to do something by a certain date, it's wise to plan to do it well ahead because unexpected things can happen that keep us from doing it when we thought we would.  That lesson applies in SL as in RL.  If you hadn't waited so late to shop, a temporary malfunction would not be such a problem for you.  Anyhow, you can shop in world, so it's not as big an issue as you seem to want to make it.
