Muireann McMillan
Hello,I want to set a new profile picture. I am using SL stock viewer: Second Life 3.2.4 (246439) . I have the picture in my inventory. However, I found no way to get it from there into the profile. It will not allog dragging. And it only saves to my computer in a TGA format - which is NOT accepted for profile picture! I do not have the software to handle this format. What do I do to get my profile picture updated? Theresa Tennyson
This is really clunky but it will work. Open the picture you want in the viewer and make it nice and big. Then hit "Print Screen" on your keyboard. Now open up any graphics program you have (even "Paint" if you're on Windows) and "paste" into a new file. You'll have your whole screen in there. Chop out your picture and save it as a .JPG or .PNG file - it'll look best if it's square and is 512 pixels by 512 pixels. Then you can put it in your profile. Trin1
Or you could use one of the many tga to jpg converters out there.
Graybar Riaxik
If you use the FIRESTORM viewer: open the photo drop down the 'save as TGA' menu & select 'save as PNG' Unfortunate design choice by LL considering that the WEB pieces don't accept TGA. GIMP is free image editing software that can be used to save a TGA to various other formats.
