Try going to a different sim.  As well as a reboot.  Usually a message like that is just a temporary glitch.

I second Cinnamon - blame it on SL and hope it goes away.

When there are a flood of these problems it usually means the asset servers are dying/on holiday/need maintenance/drunk so thank you for raising the issue.
