As I'm sure you know your PayPal Student Account is set up by your parents and your parents have control over all your pruchases:

The Permissions and Notifications features of a Student Account keep parents and teens on the same page and ensure there are no surprises. Custom account permissions, automated alerts, and visibility into all teen transactions provide a way for parents to keep everything on track.

• Parents can turn spending on or off at any time, for any reason.
• Parents can set the account to allow inbound transfers only with parental approval.
• Parents can receive email or text alerts if a purchase exceeds a set amount, or in the event of a low balance.

First contact your parents to see if they have restricted your use of the account that does not allow use for Second Life.  Then, if they have no problems and want you to be able to use the account for SL they can either change the permissions or contact PayPal.

 

I doubt it's anything to do with Linden Lab.......they would gladly take your money.
