You can abandon your Linden home, yes, and purchase a 512sqm parcel without having to pay additional tier on it per month. I'm not sure what you mean by "second," though. If you abandon your Linden home, you do not keep the land it is on. You may have EITHER a Linden home OR one 512sqm parcel of land without having to pay any cost other than maintaining your premium membership.

Just so you know ....  if you abandon your Linden Home and use you Premium tier to get a different 152 sq m parcel, you'll have to build your own house on that land.  The prims in that house will count against the 117 total prim allotment for the parcel.  That's not the way it works for a Linden Home, which doesn't count against the 117 prim total.  So, you get the freedom to build whatever you like, but you'll have fewer prims left to decorate it than you have now.  Balance in all things.

Yes, that's correct.

Be sure to Abandon your Linden Home before you purchase your replacement parcel, to avoid a tier charge for the billing period when you hold a total of 1024 m2 (the Linden Home and the new parcel).

You do have to pay the current owner to purchase the new land.  It can be bigger than 512 m2, but you will only pay monthly tier on the part in excess of 512.

This is all Mainland we are talking about.  You can buy all the land you want on a private estate and it will not affect your tier with Linden Lab.  That transaction, both purchase and monthly upkeep, is between you and the Estate owner.
