Griffin Ceawlin
I think the pie wheel has been eliminated in the official viewers. It's back in Firestorm...

Pussycat Catnap
Take a look at my getting started blog, specifically this part: http://catnapkitty.wordpress.com/2010/08/08/getting-started-in-second-life/#First_Outfits - Scroll down from there until you hit the part where you're getting hung up. Probably opening boxes or wearing contents - two common areas of initial confusion. The blog that comes up in google is about 6 years out of date... that one there, mine, is a lot more current - but not linked to by as many people so its not managed to come up high in search. It'll show you how to do things under current viewers and current options in SL.
LoveAngeL Lyre
Hello StrayGatitaKat and welcome to SL and SL Forums. First of all except of other great suggestions check out if your inventory is fully loaded. Every time you log in, the first you have to do is to wait your inventory to be fully loaded opening the second tab of it called "Recent" and waiting fetching all your items till the last one. You can type also 2-3 characters in search there and follow same process.

April Looming
If you don't have "outfits" set up, then there's a neat trick you can do that may help in figuring out what you're wearing: Open your inventory panel and type in the search bar: (worn) This will give you a list of everything currently on your avie. Right click (in your inventory panel) and "take off" items you don't want. Then clear the search field so your whole inventory shows again. Find your new item to wear and click "wear" or "add". In the latest SL viewer, you can add multiple attachments to each attachment point with "add", or replace the existing attachments with "wear". Same goes for clothing layers; the new SL viewer will let you wear 4 undies layers, 4 pants layers, 4 undershirt layers, and 4 shirt layers! Comes in really handy for someone like me who has to change a whole batch of clothes at once...
