Cinnamon Mistwood
I kinda like Vista Animation's Dangerous Girl AO. Not over girlie and just a little Bad-a$$.
LoveAngeL Lyre
Hello Trisha. If you don't want something very expensive and a some ...serious AO, you can try (SP) Secret Girl AO. In past you could try it in their main store, i am not sure if you can still. Long time to visit it.
Ariel Vuissent
I second the suggestion of Vista Animations' "Dangerous Girl" AO, and add their "The Wanted" (or "Most Wanted," I don't remember exactly which). Both are kind of bada$$ and not overly girly, but still for women. "The Wanted" only comes in the breathing edition; "Dangerous Girl" has a breathing or not breathing option. The "breathing" effect gives the illusion of your avatars chest moving up and down and bit - as though breathing. It's a fairly subtle effect, especially in the more animated stands. Still, I suggest you try the poses before buying the AO (good advice for any AO purchase, actually; personally, if the store doesn't offer pose demos for each AO, I don't buy), and see if you like or dislike the effect. Flicka Nikitin
hello, since people coming often up with vista, why not try out something different? imagz for example? there's even one in my inventory named 'nosferatu' , as far I remember xOxO
Lyra Blackthorne
I buy single poses that match my personal style and then load my AO with them. It is pretty simple, drop poses into AO and edit the notecard. It does take some time to get them in right order so movement looks smooth, but once it is done you are good for a long time. I have only freshened my poses a couple of times since 06 as animations have improved. I like to mixed static poses with animated poses so that your avie moves but is not "antsy" lol. Kylie Jaxxon
I use the Badgirl from Vista....a little tough, but still feminine
Orca Flotta
Yeah, I'm with the Bad Girl crowd, afaik the first full mocap AO ever, not too "bad", not too antsy, tweakable. And best of all it's not silly or spectacular cartoonish but keeps to natural movement.
Suki Hirano
Oracul has the best AOs in SL imo, or at least value-cost ratio. You can definitely find a serious/cool AO there. I have no idea why Vista is so popular even though it's like the most expensive AOs in SL, guess some people just follow the brand more than the actual content. I've seen some friends wear Vista and well, they just suck compared to other AOs. Mocap in SL is redundant imo since you're playing a game that has a framerate ceiling and terrible graphics, I used to play on ultra settings and quality non-mocap anims are just as good as mocap anims from akeyo or vista. Oracul is basically for stands and walks jumps and stuff liek that...mocap doesn't stand out in those things..dances and full animations on constant movement is where Mocap shows the difference.. as far as just a regular AO for stands and stuff like that ya it's a nice hud..but if you want an AO that does more you have to look elsewhere.. i think thats why people choose the other huds,. they want to load up their dances and things..a lot of those basic huds like that only let you load so many of each animations to them.. they tend to go for the ones with more load space and options.. i like the price of it though...it looks like he is really only charging for the animations..because he gives the empty huds away.. =)
Pussycat Catnap
I find motion capture animations a great improvement. BUT that doesn't mean any old motion capture will do. It means you need good motion capture. Also its not going to work on a stretched avatar. If you're stretched, then your limbs are 'disjointed' from where the mesh should be bending. If you want the advantage of motion capture, you need a proportionate avatar. And that tends to mean you're going to end up being under 6' tall. Ariel Vuissent
Not necessarily. I use Mocap AO's and my avi is a fairly proportionate 6'2" or so. She was around 6'6", 6'7" and they worked fine then as well. The largest difficulty I've encountered with propotion so far is arms, but they are actually quite close, and Mocap works fine even with that small issue. The important this is test, test, test. If the shop doesn't offer pose stands that you can use to check the animations with your avatar, I suggest going elsewhere. AO's are definitely something you want to shop inworld for and try demos before you buy.
