im having a problem

Hello and welcome to SL and SL Forums. If you have already downloaded the viewer (link is here: http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/ ) you have an .exe file in your hard disk. You double click this file and you install it. After using the shortcut in your desktop you run the program and you log in using your username and your password. • What viewer for the Second Life virtual world have you downloaded and installed?
• What error message(s) do you get?
• What are your system specifications (GBs RAM and graphics card mainly)?
• Have you got the latest driver for your graphics card?

Launch the viewer. Before you login click Help->About and copy the info and paste it into your opening post. See OPTIONS in the upper right of your post.

In addition to downloading SL you must also open an account. Sorry if that's obvious to you, but often people expect the download to handle that apsect of gaining access. In SL opening the account is a separate process.
