Hello bamabeauty and welcome to SL and SL Forums. It would be helpful if you post here your system's specs especially if it is your first time you try to run the application. In addition these days we have issues in world with region rolling restarts for maintenance and maybe your problem is relative. Please see: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ As a first suggestion, try to log in a different region and see if that makes any difference like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere. If you can't select a different region, in your log in screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> General Tab --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK.  After click the down arrow where it says "Start at" and choose <Type region name> --> Smith --> Login.

  • What game are you trying to play?
  • What viewer for the Second Life virtual world have you downloaded and installed?
  • What error message(s) do you get?
  • What are your system specifications (GBs RAM and graphics card mainly)?
  • Have you got the latest driver for your graphics card?
  • Do you use wired, wireless or mobile broadband?
  • What is your connection's performance (see pingtest.net) to California?
