You can enable Show Beacons in your viewer/browser and anything with a script in it will show up Red.

World > Show > Beacons

If you have things that rotate or make sounds, they will use a lot of script time. You can slow down the rotation and turn down the volume on the sounds to save a little but removing the scripts all together is the best bet.

Fireplaces have animated textures and they too run hot.  Anything that runs constant is an issue.

Hi Kylie, enable beacons will allow you to see all your scripted objects:

Beacons

Often, object you are looking for may contain a script. Beacons make it easy to locate any objects that contain a script.

  • Go to View > Beacons > Scripted Objects on the menu bar

If the beacons don't appear to be working, make sure the Render Beacons option is enabled. This draws crosshairs over any beacons, making them easier to locate.

  • Go to View > Beacons Always On (Ctrl-N) on the menu bar

There is an option in Preferences that increases the line width used for beacons, making them easier to view. This is especially useful when Second Life is displayed at a high resolution.

  • Go to Edit > Preferences on the menu bar
  • Click the Adv. Graphics tab
  • Enter "2", or another value, into Debug Beacon Line Width
  • Click OK

Hello Kylie. I don't really why you can't have access into script info. It would be easy there to see your objects with many scripts and remove them. However you can ask help from the Estate manager or owner to inform you about and suggest you which are your top scripts and maybe cause the problem.

Unless you have sim-level perms that let you use the Debug >> Top Scripts tool you won't be able to see the list of scripted objects on your land.  As others have said, you can use beacons to find all of them, but that is a REAL colossal pain, and it doesn't really tell you what you need to know.  The script count isn't as important as knowing (1) how much script memory they are using and (2) how much script time they are using.  You can get that information, but you'll need a scripted tool to do it.  I haven't looked in Marketplace, but I'm sure there must be one out there.  It's such an obvious tool.  (If not, I ought to write one.  It would probably sell.   :smileytongue: )

You've got all the information about scripts.

The other part of your question concerns prims, specifically: "I have a large parcel...I pay for that large parcel to have all the prims".  You're absolutely right that you should be entitled to use your prim allowance in any way you see fit.  "About Land", objects tab, shows you the parcel prim allowance and current count.  If you're over the allowance you'll have to delete things but if you're under you have no problem.

Just a belated note because I accidentally discovered why I too was not getting script info on my parcel of land. It appears that if no parcel is actually 'selected'. the list just sits there, empty. Stepping outside and actually activating the 'about land' by clicking on the ground did the trick for me. Poor thing didn't know which parcel I was looking for.

Thanks all, appreciate the forum a lot.
