Hi. I'm testing out Mesh. I created the basic frame structure of a house and exported it to .dae. I finally was able to get it to import but I'm not sure how I can make it able be walkable. Meaning walking into the building. Basically  its a solid cement building with cutouts for doors and windows. When I upload it consider the mesh one object(not a object with holes) so what could be the cause? I'm using Blender and exporting the structure as a collado file. I'm not worried about texture until I know how to at least get the structure to work.

The uploader in the Viewer will accept up to 4 "level of detail" (LOD) models for showing your item at different distances, plus a "physics shape" model for how things collide with your item.  If you do not supply a physics shape, it automatically creates one of the type "convex hull", which is like a shrink-wrapped shape around your item.  Convex hulls have no holes.

For a physics shape, it should be as simple as possible, just flat planes for the floors and walls, leaving gaps for doorways.  If you dont expect to fly through the roof, you don't need anything up there.  Keeping the physics shape simple will help keep the the "Land Impact" (used to be prim cost) down.

The different LODs and physics shape are different models, but you can align them more easily if you build them all in one blender file, save it, then only export each part separately.  It might be easier to delete all but one model, save that separately, and repeat for each LOD & physics.

You can use the same model for more than one slot in the uploader, but that may end up costing more land impact.

there are 2 other options to this, although Aura has the best suggestion, the other 2 work for testing out.

1: Turn the mesh Phantom and create invisible prims in the object to collide with

2: on upload hit the physics tab, select "Step 1: Level of Detail" and select "High" now under most situtations you should see an orange shape appear around your mesh, if this shape has red lines on it (or you get an error when pressing "Calculate") then under Analyze you need to change the "Quality" to "High" and hit Analyze, Don't **** around with any of the other options or you will break it. after this is done hit Calculate then hit Upload. Once the house is rezzed you need to select it, go to edit, and under the "Features" tab you need to select "Prim" under the "Physics Shape Type".

Now hopefuly you should be able to walk around your house. this solution can and has worked for final meshes, but it is not reccomended for complex meshes or shapes, and it is best if you make your own physics shape.
