Chosen Few
Apply them as overlays, via the various layer blending modes in Photoshop, or use them as masks on adjustment layers. There's a good overview of the blending modes here: http://www.cgtextures.com/content.php?action=tutorial&name=blendmodes There's a pretty decent, if not entirely concise, writeup of adjustment layers here: http://psd.tutsplus.com/articles/techniques/a-basic-guide-to-photoshop-cs4-adjustment-layers/ Read through those, and if there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask. If it turns out you don't understand any of it, then you've just gotten a little ahead of yourself, and you need to spend more time learning the basics of Photoshop before you'll be able to tackle more advanced texturing topics like this.
