Online Status SIgn

I'm not sure of the proper name for what I'm in search of so I included a pic. Is there a script/object that would allow me to show my online/offline status without hover text (which I'm currently using)? I've tried searching the answers, forums and wiki and i'm having no luck.

In the same place where you change your hovertext you could change the texture of your sign - a sleeping kitten maybe? Would be cute ;-)

That script should be fairly easy for you to write.  The online status information is retrieved with the llRequestAgentData function, using the parameter DATA_ONLINE.  The thing to do is to put that function into a timer event that calls it every minute or so. The function itself triggers a dataserver event, in which you put whatever commands you need for changing a texture on your sign, changing the color of a prim, or whatever.  You can see how a script might be structured by studying the example at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User:Daemonika_Nightfire/Scripts/DS_Display-Username_Online_Indicator
