Can an item on Marketplace be flagged for encouraging people to break the TOS?

Question

There is a device called "Soul Seize", sold on LL's own Marketplace, whose creator encourages people to lie to others in order to get them to accept a animation request that then refuses to release the victim from that animation control. The control the "Soul Seize" HUD has over these unwitting victims can then be used, against their will and without their consent, to interfere with their enjoyment and use of Second Life. This device seems to be a griefing tool and I think it should be labeled as such.

There is nothing in the SL marketplace listing guidelines that specifically forbids items that "encourage users to break the ToS," likely because this is somewhat subjective. The item you mention does state in the description that it is not intended to be used as a griefing tool or for any harmful purposes. Plus, it's not wise to accept animation invitations from anyone you don't know. However, if you have a problem with it, you can try to flag it and have the mods investigate.

I, personally, will be MUCH more careful about accepting any animations.

Note: You may want to remove the specific name of the item, as the only things that come up in search for that are all by one creator, and MIGHT, if someone were feeling very picky, get you into trouble.
