NANOX Boa
HelloI try to make a skirt with the skirt builder kit from NCI V6.x..I have a config notecard with parameters for volume = 20, x, y, z.This also works well. Now I want to make skirts may also smaller.somebody has an idea what I have to change in the notecard so that the skirt is half as long as normal?Of course I made a smaller prim first.I have tried several times to change the parameters but it is not sitting skirt around the hips. it get to big... and someone spoke of double skirts. hehe how?I would be grateful for any suggestions! JoJo Aurelia
Did you contact the person you bought it from? Start there. I make my own skirts, prim by prim now. I used to use premade skirts and loop rezzers, but couldn't get anything unique! So, now I slug it out with the prims...one at a time.
Morgaine Christensen
Check with the folks that gave the class at NCI; they should be able to assist you. If you are wanting a shorter skirt length, would change the prim size on the Z axis...since I don't have what you are using...if you are using a premade prim...set the size of Z at .500 and work your way up or down. NANOX Boa
sorry I forgot to say. it´s LoopRez v0.6-01 and notecard LoopRez Configuration. notecard: numObjects | 20 xRadius | 0.42 yRadius | 0.50 flareAngle | 45.0 I changed the parameter to this with a z=0.480 prim numObjects | 18 xRadius | 0.25 yRadius | 0.3 flareAngle | 50.0 I am sure I get even better results. However, I do not like the shape. ok, this version is like the Basic to show how that works Thank you for your comments. I should not spend to much time with the basics things. a men just try to create kilts and toga things ...and woman skirts
Tiffy Vella
If it's the Loop Rezz, try the creators tutorial site here. This links you to Ged's site, and he makes makes Linkrez and Looprez. A more specific tutorial on how to use Ged's freebie, the Looprez is here, at the Mermaid Diaries. I believe that there is a bit of hit and miss with adding x and y numbers to the notecard. It's not as simple as it might seem, but Natalia covers this in her tute. Have fun
Rolig Loon
You don't set the length with LoopRez. All that program does is arrange the prims you have already created into a skirt shape. If you want to change the length, width, shape, texture, or color of a prim that your skirt is made of, use your normal SL editing tools to modify it. If you have already used LoopRez to make your skirt but have not yet given the command to finish the skirt (I think it's /1 done, if I remember correctly), then changing one prim will change all of them. Like others, I once used LoopRez for making simple skirts when I was just learning, but I found it way too limiting. You get much less mechanical-looking skirts if you take the time to make and assemble the prims by hand.
NANOX Boa
Thank you Tiffy for the Links and all other for your help. the Looprez chat commands:/100 make (create Skirt Panel)/100 move (move and resize the Cube to the Top of the Skirt)/100 link (Link all Prims)/100 done (delete script) (create "Skirt Panel" first then you put it in the cube) I will read Ged´s tutorial, for a better understanding how it works. I really appreciate you help. Thank you! ...I use edit 99% to create things
Melita Magic
If memory serves, you edit the prim, not the skirt itself, and while you are creating it. So, it might be best to start over and just make sure it's how you want it before you finish linking. I never quite caught the hang of it myself. That is, I made a skirt that was OK, but couldn't really do things the way I had in mind. But, anyway, edit the prim, not the skirt, and before it's done.
