And I mean very.

I said "En oh."

He told me that he didn't have to have a shot of my face in them, and no one would know. He insisted that everyone in SL does this.

Really? Can anyone out there tell me they have taken pictures of the intimate parts of theiur bodies and mailed them throughout secondlife? I* don't mean just take a pic and crop the head off. I mean take an upclose of 3 different parts of my body, none of the face.

I'm still not gunna do it, even if everyone in second life passes nudie pics around.

This is a pretty typical scenario in SL. I've been asked for RL nudie pics, and have been asked to cam sex. And I've lost count of how many unsoclicited **bleep** pics I've been passed. A couple I kept and passed around to let a few others know they really didn't have much to brag about.

It's a dumb thing to do.

That would probably be the last conversation I had with that joker, before unfriending him and muting him.

Not only is it bad form to ask, (and he almost certainly WILL share the photos with his buddies), but he added insult to injury by admitting he didn't even care if he could see your face! All he wants is jack-off material. Send him to a porn site to harvest whatever he wants (assuming he is old enough to get access to one), tell him to leave you alone, and move on. There are better guys in SL to date.

One reason some guys ask for that, or insist on some voice chat time, is because they are afraid you're really also a guy, playing a girl. Their fragile ego can't take the idea that they might be enjoying a virtual romance and later find out the other person is the same gender they are, so they ask for "proof" that you're female. As if you couldn't scan a pic from a porn magazine or copy one from a porn site, if you were? Idiots.

I'm just adding a confirmation that indeed not everyone provides photos of their privates to random strangers, just because they ask. (Although I have seen some pretty intimate rl photos in some profiles, but I wouldn't count them as normal women, or indeed women at all.)

This man sounds incredibly rude and creepy. I recommend you go googling for the nastiest thing you can find and tell him to go and get his jollies. Then unfriending/muting/banning from your life.

NO, never did that and never would.  I never knew anyone that did (or admitted to it) other than escorts that are probably RL call girls. The everyone else does it argument wouldn't fly with me at all.

There is nothing wrong with having standards and sticking to them.  If he respects and cares for you at all he'll respect your decision not to do it if it creeps you out.

This would be a VERY bad thing to do and I mean seriously bad.  You want to steer clear of this guy.  Doing something like that is hardly going to discourage him from coming back and pestering you again is it?

Mute him and tell your friends to watch out for him.

Em, how about a picture of a single detached random "hair". It's personal, yet unidentifiable, and extremely nasty if you frame it properly - say on a sandwich.  That would serve him about right for asking.   (/me wonders how she comes up with such devious plans...and always too late.)

A gentleman would never, I repeat never, demand such a favour from a lady. It's beneath contempt. Don't even waste your time and energy sending him some random pix pulled off the web. Really. Just mute him and move on. Rediscover your self-respect and you'll feel better for it. There's plenty of well-behaved and charming gentlemen out there... take your time, be discerning and you will be rewarded.

Only once in my entire SL (nearly 4 years) has anyone asked me for such a very personal picture. You have been unlucky to meet the creepiest guy in SL.  He would also be the same guy who would insist on you using voice, claiming that a girl who refuses to use voice must be a guy in real life.

As others have already said, mute the creep, move on.

it is really up to you if you do this or not. i mean if you have no hangups, you can send a pick without you face or anything that may be identifying. in the BDSM seen it can be quite common, although i send and receive pics from those that i have know for a loooooonnnngggg time. however, if your not a prude, and there is nothing identifying in your pic, and you want to......do it. otherwise, don't. not really that hard is it?

Wicked is right in that it is fairly common and is called sexting.  It's pics mostly of body parts without the face, and even very famous celebrities do that these days.

I've been asked to send a picture of my rl boobs, and thought about sending along some photos of Bush and Chenney, but I was too lazy to do that work, so I said my camera was broken.

Anyhow, sexting is fairly common on the internet, but not everyone is doing it nor even wants to get involved in sexting.  If he insists, just mute and move on like the others have said.  If you really like the person and they like you, you just need to say NO that's not my style, so take me as I am or forget about me.
