Distortion: Zoom in Tiny / Nano Prim

I´ve started to create jewelry but I´m having too many problems when I need to zoom in to work with very very very very very small prims. I already disabled the camera constrains, tried to use many viewers and changed the camera angle.

When I zoom in very close the objects get very very distorced. Does anybody knows how can I work with that seeing the objects in a regular way, or if there is some viewer with special stuff for builders?

While taking the printscreen below I realised that my piercings looked fine. So can it be a problem of LOD?

I've already explained at least one way to get sculpted spheres to appear to be more round (at any size) but it's quite a few threads down.
