Why are you guys spamming this forum with this?

Is Linden Lab a bot?

Isn't one posting enough and is this an update from yesterdays post?

I read yesterdays update and didn't see anything different than what it has always been? Perhaps you can highlight any changes?

It's a private forum set up by Blondin and has been by invite only for the adult content advisory committee.  Is this now open to the public??

Yikes, we've been discovered!

Yes, but that does leave me concerned as we had some flexibility here since it was for adult content and the need to use language that may not be suitable for general audience as it related to what we do with adult was permissible.

Now that this area is apparently open to all does cause concern as previous post, even by Lindens may not be allowed under the ToS for the forums.

Note - If there is a need to post content outside of Linden Lab's content guidelines, there are external forums and blogs.  This is an asynchronous tool to provide the adult community a means to showcase events, promote discussion, cool destinations and give feedback to Linden Lab.   However, content will need to be "general" and within parameters of Linden Lab's community guiidelines.

Yeah, I get your community guidelines however, you may want to go back and read some of the post the Blondin listed before you say that as I am sure those would now be found objectionable.

When someone is talking about an anatomical part and is referring to the creation or function of this part, or a term to specific adult related act, then that would now be found objectionable.  By someone obviously higher than your pay grade stated early on, this forum was designed specifically for this reason.

Does the Linden Management even know you made this a public forum? Are you part of the Zindra team? You don't use a name anymore and are now just Linden Lab so how do we know who is posting and why there is no consistency?

Does this forum have an age verification system? Is it classified under the maturity guidelines? Define Offensive for us please as that standard varies widely.

But if I am hearing you right, you are saying just leave and go find another board in that you don't want an adult content forum here. Am I correct?

If that's the case, why even have this forum? Why not just take it down?

These changes are of Benefit to Supporters and Promoters of the Adult Community. As mentioned, this section can be a valuable tool to alert and inform SL Residents.

I suspect that the Forum User Linden Lab is an account created by the makers of SL, Linden Lab. I would advise fellow Residents to recognize that User's authority.

Are there no Events in Zindra today? Anyone with Land? How about someone with a store, or feedback about Zindra?

This Category needs some supporters who have an interest in presenting and preserving the ideals and freedoms secured by the Adult Community. This foothold is an opportunity, a chance to say we are here, visit Zindra.

You shouldn't *bleep* anatomical terms. They aren't offensive. If you are going to *bleep* them, then you shouldn't be sexist about it. I've seen male terms *bleep*ed while the term for the developmentally homologous female organ was allowed. Such sexism is far more offensive than the proper terms for the body parts are.

All the Linden Lab responder (and, probably the starter of this thread) is saying is "just follow the guidelines".  Not an unreasonable request at all.  Surely you remember that not long ago Second Life ceased to be an adults only grid and became a family grid.  Laws in the United States (whether you agree with them or not) require that minors are protected from adult content and adult discussions........15 to 17 year olds are minors in the United States.  I'm sure this thread is motivated in some way by that law.

What's the alternative?  Require age verification or payment information on file to post in the forums?  Imagine the response to such a requirement.......just look at the requirement for access to adult content in SL that has a lot of people crying foul.  The rule to keep it to "general" in the forums is the only other option if LL is to provide a forum for Zindra at all.  Closing it might be the end result if that proves too much for the users........and I can guarantee you that that will not go over well at all.  Follow the guidelines and be thankful you have a forum to post in.

A disclaimer............I couldn't care less if any adult oriented forum was closed.  But I do see the usefulness of one for those who do care.

It would almost certainly fall foul of the rule about "No advertising or promotion of specific Second Life merchants, Marketplace listings, products, or services, unless the forum area is specifically for the buying or selling of Second Life products or services."

Censoring referal to body parts by their correct anatomical names isn't protecting minors! Those terms are in their textbooks. If minors have access to SL then they have access to Google, where they can get information about human anatomy. And if they have access to Google they have access to porn.

I have two younger brothers. Both are in their 20s now and the older of the two is a father. When he was 15 or 16 not only did he access internet porn, but he hacked into Canadian porn sites and stole credit card information from guys who paid for porn. I busted him doing this and made him stop. A kid with that degree of sophistocation doesn't need to be "protected" from seeing correct anatomical terms for mammalian body parts! Nor is he going to be deterred from accessing "adult only" web sites by some unenforcable age policy. Hence, censorship and restrictions do nothing to keep minors from accessing adult content and discussions.  All it does is disrespects those who would participate and contribute to these fora, while making LL policy makers appear authoritarian and stupid.

As a maker of... "stuff", I might be able to help with the alignment of... "items". Please note however that I tend to specialize in... "things" rather than... "objects". Fortunately if you need help with... "objects", you can always go to... "that place". On the other hand, if you are into... "activities" or... "past times", I can definitely help! Today's code: RED SKY MORLOCK ... While I appreciate that there IS a public adult content forum, it would be really nice if things pertaining to adult content could actually be posted to it. As a side note, I am finding PG to be increasingly offensive. I move that PG content no longer be allowed to be posted to PG forums.

Your wish was granted some time ago with the demise of PG regions.  There is no PG content anymore, it's just "General" :)
