Public Sculpture Contest for Architects, Builders, and Artists in SecondLife!

GVConsulting (http://gregoryvickrey.com), Second Nights (http://secondnights.com), JLS Creations, and Capital Exchange (http://slcapex.com) present the Crystal Springs Public Sculpture Contest for architects, builders, and artists in Second Life.

Here’s the deal:

WHEN: From October 1 to October 31, with final judging to take place November 1.The earlier you submit, the better! Reaction from the public submitted via notecard to Kafka Frugel will be taken into account when judging commences.

WHERE: Sculptures will be placed on public display within 24 hours at the contest site, Crystal Springs. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Crystal%20Springs/41/172/22

WHAT: The theme for the Contest is “Geometry”. Think of public art displays in various cities around the world. Now take it to the next level, using this theme. We have a couple of basic sculptures on site for inspiration. Come and take a look.

THE RULES:

One avatar, one sculpture.

Sculpture footprint can be no more than 64m2.

Sculpture has no height limit.

Sculpture must be 20 prims or less.

Sculpture must be “trans, no copy, no modify.”

Sculptures must be submitted to JohnathanMacBride Resident for placement.

Sculptures must remain on site through the duration of voting.

No sculptures may be removed or updated after placement.

All sculptures will be returned to their designers upon completion of voting, unless designer and GVConsulting negotiate an agreement for keeping the sculpture on site.

Overall Winner: Three project contract with GVConsulting

Most Creative: L$10000

Best Design with Fewest Prims: L$5000

Best Textured: $5000
