Need help with LOD Factor?

I recently just learned about upping my LOD Factor to keep my sculpted prims in their original shape, even when I'm cammed out. The only problem I'm having is whenever I log off and then back on, it's reset itself to the default factor, 1.000. 

Is there any way I can save it to the factor I want, so it doesn't switch back every time I log off? Sorry if it's a silly question, I'm new to the more advanced stuff in sl. Any help/tips is appreciated!

in the folder that you have second life installed i go to

app_settings/settings.xml

open that and seach for

RenderVolumeLODFactor

then look for the word

Persist

directly after it, and directly after that should be

<integer>0</integer>

.... change the 0 to a 1 and save.... now the setting is sticky

Void, I've never seen LOD factor not be sticky. How does it get unsticky to begin with?

mine is so heavily tweaked I don't know what is originally sticky and what isn't
