How exactly to add money to account?

I am wanting to put in some money into my SL account, however am confused by the mixed messages of the so called guide...does anyone know how to do it with credit card, what the limit is and how much it will likely cost in fees? :)

 

Also how fast it is to get processed? :) 

 

I want to add too that I am from England, so dollars are not my first currency of course, will Linden be able to handle that or will there be issues?

You don't have to buy L$ with dollars.  You can buy them directly with pounds Sterling.  Use one of the approved alternate currency markets at https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Linden_Dollar_Marketplace .  L$ bought there or on the Lindex are deposited directly into your acount, so you can spend them in world or in Marketplace.
