JT Hamelin
How would I go about creating a time delay in LSL? Links would also be appriciated. I like learning from my questions and not just stealing scripts.Basically, I want the object to change colors and then go back to default after a few seconds. Ishtara Rothschild
You can use llSleep for that. But keep in mind that llSleep halts the entire script, so the script won't react to user input during the time delay. If your script uses a listener or menu, you might want to use a timer instead (see llSetTimerEvent and timer).
JT Hamelin
Thanks so much. I just started diving into LSL. Unfortunately Google isn't turning up very many results with the parameters I'm entering :-(
Dora Gustafson
Any script you can read you are allowed to read and learn from That's not stealing If it says that you can not copy the script you just don't do that To Google for llSleep() is overkill We have a splendid Wiki and even a Waka too:smileyvery-happy: Both have script libraries where you can see how all kinds of functions can be used
Void Singer
note: links in this silly forum software appear as bold and gree (or blue if you is you install Cerises's wonderful "blue Goo" stylesheet)... unless someone goes out of their way to recolor them (as I often do)
JT Hamelin
Thanks. I just hate it when I don't have the correct terminology to search with. :-( Figured Google would make it easier.
