cant download the viewer

I cant download the viewer it says that the Operation Has Timed out,  im using my laptop and it has windows 7 and idk pleas help i need to download this for a class im taking(weird i know.lol)

When you download the viewer do NOT run the install from the web.  Choose Save instead of Run and then launch the installer from your hard drive.

If you can't 'download', check your connection at SpeedTest.net. If your connection is so bad you cannot easily download the file, you probably will not be able to use Second Life even after you download the program file.

If you are using a wireless connection, that is probably contributing to the problem. If your on a satellite connection, that can also be a problem.

You can open the Performance Meter on Win7 and watch what is happening when you try to download. Click START and type Performance. The Reliability and Performance Monitor should be one of the choices.
