Mesh Upload Physics Model Red Lines (Maya user)

For some reason, when I try to upload my own physicas model, I keep having issues with getting red lines.  They seem to be where there was an opening I left to cut down on faces, but I tried to extrude some edges and filled them, so it's a solid object, but still showing up with red lines.  I am using Maya 2011.  I can use the Simplification tools to get rid of the red lines, but it doesnt keep the same shape that I would like.  Anyone else strugging with this or have any ideas what could be going on?

Those red lines indicate degenerated triangles. Triangles which are to narrow for the physics engine. Simplify the physics mesh a bit more before uploading, clean the mesh from doubles, unused verts etc...

Thanks arton.  I was pretty sure that I had cleaned it all up.  I tried making a physics model from a set of new polys rather than taking out the detail of the build, very simple, and that seemed to work out.
