mesh strange vertex position

I made a mesh avatar by using blender (2.49b+python-2.6.5)

and rigged with bone and it goes well in blender.

but after i upload to the secondlife, it looks little strange.

some vertex jump from point to point.

I tried to rig again and again... but it cant go well.

I cant find the cause.

some person told me "edit the dae file`s vertex position with notepad++"

but I dont know how to do it.

please teach me how to fix.

This seems related to this JIRA. Prep Linden made a fix for this bug, but it's only in the mesh development viewer which can be found on the alternate viewers list (half way down the page, under "mesh import").

I'm seeing more and more people reporting that same issue, I'm hoping that this fix doesn't get forgotten and goes in the main build soon :/
