So upgrading to the premium acct got me the home AND the 512 of mainland. how do i get the mainland?

Your home is ON that 512 sq m parcel on the mainland.  If you'd rather have land elsewhere on th mainland, then abandon your Linden home and apply your 512 tier allowance toward whatever land you would prefer.  The advantage of having a Linden home on your 512 parcel is that the home itself doesn't count against the parcel's 117 prim allowance.  If you build a house on a 512 parcel elsewhere, that home will count.
