Waiting for Membership to Be Active

How long is it before a membership becomes active? Such as, getting the L and such.

It's effective immediately.  If you can log in to SL with your viewer --You did download and install one, right (https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/?lang=en-US)? -- then your membership is active.  If you joined as a Premium member, you will receive a L$1,000 bonus after 45 days.  You will also start receiving an allowance of L$300 per week, starting on Tuesday.
