Randall Ahren
Is the land owned by the group? When you're on the parcel and choose "About Land", should say group owned. What is the name of the group that owns the parcel in "About Land"? Is it the correct group? Did your friend have his group activated when he attempted to set his home to that particular parcel? Randall Ahren
It shouldn't say owned by you. It should say group owned.
Peewee Musytari
Is it just him or both of you? Is it just that group or all his groups? Is it the same for any alts he may have? If it is his computer that is the cause, get him to try switching off his router for a few minutes & then rebooting his computer.

That was the case for ages and ages, but it was actually just a very longstanding bug that they finally fixed a while back; now folks should be able to set Home to land merely set to one of their groups. The KB article claims that it may be necessary to activate the group first. (That seems weird, but that's what it says.)
Rabid Cheetah
Make sure that: 1. The land group says teh same group name that you want to use. 2. The land has been deeded over to the group so that the group actually owns it. 3. The group has enough meters donated to it to be able to handle having the land deeded over. If this has all been done, click Help, and ask for Live Online Support or whatever from Linden.
