Keli Kyrie
Yes in Viewer 2 and 3 you can change the text color tp anything you like. Just go to preferences and click on Colors to change. To change the background you are going to need to use a Starlight Skin for Viewer 2/3 and you can find them at this link: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Viewer_Skins/Starlight
Tristizia Demonista
Take Keli's advice and get those Starlight Skins, they have at least 1 Skin , that seems particularily suited to your needs. (I think it's called Mono Teal)
Extemporaneous
This picture is with the settings Keli talked about. 1) Black Text. 2) Starlight "Stardust Sliver Blue" Skin.
Extemporaneous
Of coarse the pink is my favorite. Beta Viewer 3.0.2 Stardust Sliver Pink "Starlight Skin"
Nefertiti Nefarious
Thank you! I'll try the skins.
Nefertiti Nefarious
They are downloaded, and in the right directories. The installation instructions forgot to tell me how to activate them. Now what? I restarted SL and it's as ugly and unreadable as ever.
Keli Kyrie
You have to change it from this menu. Then go to Chat or Colors (shows up different depending on which one you pick) and change the color of the text.
Nefertiti Nefarious
Where is that menu? Log-in screen?
Tristizia Demonista
Yes Although it might look slightly different, depending of what version you are using, the log-in screen was changed a bit with the latest release. In the older versions it is in the same place as the "Basic/Advanced" Menu.
Hitomi Tiponi
Thanks to Keli, Tristizia and Extemporaneous for helping explain the StarLight skins. :matte-motes-big-grin: As Tristizia says the login screen changes slightly depending on if you are using the Beta or main viewer - this is because of LL altering the way they do things with Modes -it will all be the same soon. If anyone is having trouble with them, there are also contact details for getting support at https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Viewer_Skins/Starlight#Discussions.2C_information.2C_support_and_questions - though many residents on this forum are knowledgable and helpful.
