small in real life but not allowed in SL?

Recommended Posts

The best thing to do is to rez a cube 1.75m high (for women) or 1.85m (for men) and stand next to it (without shoes).

1.75m = 5' 8"

1.85m = 6' 0"

Unless one is a giant robot or a ferocious wildebeest, one's height should not exceed the height of the relevant cube. If it does, reduce your height through the various edit appearance options. Having said that, it does require an effort for a woman to get her avi under 6'.

Yes the cube is the only way to be completely sure, but this new hud I've got is the first one that not only comes close to the actual height but also describes someone being much taller as 'very tall'.

We have a free avatar scale set at our sims entrance, it comes with the basic cube that also has an image of a proportioned human on it and a lot of info and other gadgets inside.
