CPU & GPU requirements for Meshes (Viewer 2, Firestorm) ???

Does anyone know the minimum and "recommended" CPU & GPU requirements for proper display of up coming Meshes (Viewer 2, Firestorm) ?

I have been using Passmark CPU and GPU benchmarks here:

CPU - http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php

GPU - http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php

Admittedly, these are intimately linked with the rest of your system, but can be good "baseline" indicators of resources available to the viewer.

Does LL or anyone have any idea how many residents will refuse to buy new PCs (or Macs) to handle this, and will simply abandon SL ? Admittedly, my own ancedotal evidence shows a significant number (perhaps 20-25%) do not have "enough system" to run well now, much less in Firestorm or Viewer 2.

I have a rather old Single Core CPU & a ATi HD3650, and i do not have any problems running SL on Viewer 2 (or Beta 3).

I also don't really care about these benchmarks. It's probably nice to have a 6-Core CPU and a quadruple Graphixcard, but a.) this Hardware is too expensive in the first place and b.) i do NOT see my PC as a replacement for a heater. :)

Mesh doesn't really put any additional strain on the GPU/CPU.  Every current prim/sculpt you see in SL technically IS a mesh.....just one that is 'built-in' to the viewer, so all the info on it is fixed and available locally.....it doesn't have to be downloaded from the asset servers.
