This must have something to do with today's server update because I've been using the same viewer/computer setup for almost 2 weeks now with no problems.  I am using  Viewer 2 (2.8.1.237758) on a PC with Win7 (32bit) and NVIDIA 210 graphics card.  Today, when I logged inworld I get the following error msg "The OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver and is unable to continue.  The application must close."  I have tried updating video driver, turning graphics detail down to low, and using Firestorm viewer and nothing has worked.

This is an issue with the most recent Nvidia drivers and older OpenGL software. There is an existing thread, that has a temporary solution (e.g. use Nvidia driver 260.99 after a clean reinstall)

Here is the related post in the other thread: Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 + Viewer 2.7.4.235167

For me the downgrade to 260.99 works fine. Informations about the reason you will find here.

As Maddy said already - try to intall the old Nvidia driver 260.99. Works for me very good.

Seems SL is using some old OpenGL code, which is not supported by newer Nvidia drivers anymore.

Linden is aware of this problem and is working on it. Hopefully they will fix it soon, so SL plays nicely again with the actual Nvidia driver.

I am having the exact same problem,

BUT only with the Mesh Viewer,

All other viewers are working Fine.

But I did just to see if it would work, I turned Every graphics feature on, on the SL V2 viewer and I got this error message which is WEIRD.

I normally use Phoenix and firestorm viewers but i do use the SL V2 viewer sometimes.
