Question

We have a homestead we use for our RP sim, so it only has a 20 person limit. Are there any tools that can auto eject people if they have been idle (not moved or typed in chat) after a certain ammount of time? It'd greatly help to keep people flowing into the sim.

Thanks.

There are means to allow certain people only to your land, that are built into SL and the viewer - but nothing for anti-idling. You could do it - at lesast to a certain degree by making use of a script. Look at the marketplace - I'm pretty sure you'll find something there. If you can't find anything there, post here - if that doesn't get you what you want, post here and ask for a scripter to make a custom script for you - what you want it no rocket science.

You could probably use a variation of a sim wide security orb.  One that sends a query to each avatar and waits for a response.  If it doesn't get an answer in a specified time period it sends the avatar home.  Similar to the anti-idle used in camping devices.  Not sure if you will find one "off-the-shelf" that is configurable to your desired outcome, but there are plenty of them on the market that might work for what you want to accomplish.
